Two girl accused of beating a younger mom to dying about a male will stay in jail.

Channel 2′s Matt Johnson was in Gwinnett County, exactly where 17-year-outdated Janine Gonzalez appeared in advance of a decide.

Law enforcement said Gonzalez and 27-12 months-old Antonetta Stevens murdered Ashley Bocanegra in August by beating her to dying — all mainly because she was sleeping with Stevens’ boyfriend.

Stevens was relationship Gonzalez’s brother. The women of all ages are accused of using his cell phone to trick Bocanegra into assembly them, then punched and kicked her until eventually she couldn’t breathe.

Bocanegra died from internal bleeding in her lungs.

Gonzalez’s lawyers have argued that she was just a bystander, but prosecutors stated the movie proves that is not the situation. Police mentioned Gonzalez is the just one who filmed Stevens as she started battling and creating threats.

“She requested Ms. Janine Gonzalez, Do you want any of this?’ To which Ms. Gonzalez replied, ‘I do.’ And she arrived and kicked her about a few moments on her side,” police claimed. “You can plainly listen to her say, ‘I’m likely to murder you,” about 5 instances. ‘Are you prepared to die?’ And, ‘I could do even worse.’”

Gonzalez argued that she should be tried using for involuntary manslaughter, not felony murder. But police argued that one of the previous texts that Bocanegra sent implicated Gonzalez. The text was directed at Gonzalez’s brother.

“It said, ‘I was wonderful till your sister kicked me in the chest and back area,’” law enforcement stated.

Both equally gals remain in jail with no bond.
